A Heritage at the Summit: In the Heart of Tahtalı Mountain

Olympos Cable Car is located at the 2,365-meter summit of Tahtalı Mountain, known as Mount Olympos in ancient times, in the center of Beydağları Coastal National Park. The region where our facility is located was granted national park status by the Council of Ministers' decision dated March 16, 1972.

This park, extending from Antalya's Sarısu district to Gelidonya Cape, covers an area of approximately 34,425 hectares. This vast area, extending to the coasts of Kemer and Kumluca districts, is one of the rare regions that brings together the natural and cultural heritage of the Mediterranean.

Nature Hiking in the National Park

Tahtalı Mountain offers routes suitable for all levels for guests who want to hike. In spring, summer and autumn, hiking to the summit is possible with moderate fitness and solid equipment. In winter months, hiking is recommended only with professional alpine equipment due to harsh weather conditions.

Marked trails starting from Beycik and Kuzdere locations provide safe access to our summit station. These trails are also part of the ancient Lycian Way. During the hike, a unique nature experience is lived with Mediterranean views, endemic vegetation and rich forest texture.

History, Mythology and Legends of Olympos

Beydağları is rich not only in natural terms, but also culturally and mythologically. Mount Olympos (Tahtalı), believed to be the home of gods such as Zeus, Hera and Poseidon since ancient times, is surrounded by legends associated with powerful storms and lightning.
